Tom Wray
Tom Wray
Managing Director

Tom joined Northwick in 2022 as Contracts Director, where he played a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth and development. In recognition of his contribution, he was appointed Managing Director in May 2023.

He brings extensive experience in the management of large and complex projects, with a primary focus on the defence sector and additional expertise in the renewable energy and healthcare industries.

In his capacity as Resident Engineer, Tom ensures that full compliance is maintained across all company operations. His comprehensive technical knowledge and proven expertise in distribution networks place Northwick in a strong position to deliver high-quality, reliable and compliant services to its clients.

Alex Clare
Alex Clare
Director

Alex completed a formal apprenticeship with a major M&E contractor and began his career working on projects for the Ministry of Defence (MOD), the National Health Service (NHS) and solar parks.

Graded by the JIB as a Technician, Alex is also a fully qualified Airfield Ground Lighting electrician and an 11kV-certified cable jointer.

Since joining Northwick in the summer of 2019 as Maintenance Director, he has rapidly established switchgear maintenance contracts and specialises in the protection and earthing of substations.

Terry Harrison

Director

Terry completed a formal apprenticeship with a major M&E contractor and has since built extensive experience delivering projects for the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the National Health Service (NHS).

In addition to being a fully qualified and approved electrician, Terry is a highly respected cable jointer certified to 33kV, with experience working on MOD and solar park private networks.

Since joining Northwick in early 2019 as Installation Director, Terry has been responsible for managing the company’s installation projects, ensuring they are delivered to the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Ian Fawkes

Director

Ian brings over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, beginning his career as an engineer before progressing into office-based roles as a qualified Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager. This broad foundation enabled him to advance to a Head of Operations position, overseeing a regional office and managing both operational and commercial functions.

Throughout his career, Ian has worked across multiple sectors, including defence, aerospace and construction, successfully navigating complex client requirements within both the private and public sectors.

Ian has served as Director at Northwick, supporting the delivery of the company’s growth strategy and network expansion objectives.

Benn Woods
Benn Woods
Director

Benn is a qualified 33kV SAP and HV/LV Cable Jointer with over 25 years of experience in the industry, specialising in the private network sector.

His extensive expertise led him into senior management, where he served as Senior Engineering Manager overseeing the efficient execution and delivery of large and complex construction projects.

Benn joined Northwick alongside Ian to drive the company’s growth. His technical knowledge and industry experience further strengthen Northwick Group’s position within the market.

Simon Witt

Senior Contracts Manager

Simon began his career as an apprentice civil engineer and has since progressed through a variety of roles with several well-known construction companies. Over the years, he has developed extensive experience in both civil and electrical disciplines, gaining a strong technical understanding of HV/LV systems – particularly within the Ministry of Defence (MoD) sector.

In 2023, Simon joined Northwick as Senior Contracts Manager, where he oversees major projects and ensures the successful delivery of works across multiple disciplines. His broad industry knowledge and hands-on experience make him a key part of the Northwick team.

Contracts Manager

Joe began his career by completing an electrical apprenticeship with a major design & build M&E company in the Midlands. Following his apprenticeship, he progressed into project management within the same organisation, where he gained extensive experience delivering complex projects across a variety of sectors.

Throughout his career, Joe has worked across multiple areas of the commercial construction industry, including education, hospitality, leisure, retail, and most recently, Ministry of Defence (MoD) sites. In April 2025, he joined Northwick, bringing with him a strong technical background and a commitment to delivering high-quality, efficient project outcomes.

Contracts Manager

Sam is a seasoned and dependable construction professional with over twenty-four years of experience delivering domestic, commercial, and industrial projects across both the public and private sectors. Known for his hands-on approach and attention to detail, he consistently upholds the highest standards of quality and safety.

As Contracts Manager at Northwick, Sam has quickly established himself as a strong leader, overseeing the delivery of small, medium, and large LV and HV projects. His depth of experience, clear communication, and positive leadership style ensure teams perform effectively and projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Lyndsey Wray
Lyndsey Wray
Group Financial Controller

With extensive experience across the construction, oil and gas, and MOD sectors, Lyndsey brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic insight. She began her career as a Technical Administrator at RAF Waddington, where she earned her NVQ in Business Administration. A move into the oil and gas industry opened the door to a financial role, prompting her to pursue and achieve her AAT Level 4 qualification.

Lyndsey later advanced into a senior financial management position within the construction industry, where she gained deep expertise in group structures and was instrumental in establishing robust financial procedures to support operational efficiency.

Lyndsey joined Northwick in January 2024 on a part-time basis to support the development and implementation of financial procedures and software aimed at driving business growth. Her impact was immediate, and as Northwick rapidly expanded, Lyndsey transitioned to a full-time role to provide essential financial leadership.

Her move to Northwick marked a pivotal step in her career, where she now oversees all financial processes and procedures. Lyndsey plays a key role in ensuring the delivery of streamlined, high-quality service across the team, supporting the company’s continued growth and success

Lauren Redford-Clare

Group Finance Assistant

Lauren joined Northwick Ltd as Group Finance Assistant in September 2024, supporting the Group Financial Controller in managing all day-to-day finance operations across the business. Her role encompasses a wide range of financial processes that underpin Northwick’s LV/HV electrical installation and maintenance projects. She takes pride in delivering reliable, detail-oriented support while contributing to a collaborative and forward-thinking finance team.

After earning her BSc (Hons) in Mathematics, Lauren began her career in the construction industry, where she developed a strong foundation in finance and gained insight into many different aspects of the field. Alongside her finance role, she achieved her AAT Level 3 qualification and is currently working towards Level 4, continuing to advance her professional development.

Lauren later spent a brief period working in the education sector, which provided her with a fresh perspective on financial operations and broadened her professional experience. However, she soon recognised that her skills and passion were best suited to the construction industry, leading her to return to the field where she could
make the greatest impact.

Since joining Northwick Ltd, Lauren has played an instrumental role in supporting the company’s growth and financial integrity, bringing her experience, dedication, and
analytical expertise to the team.

I began my career with a major M&E company as an electrical apprentice, where I built a solid technical foundation and hands-on understanding of the trade. Through hard work and a drive to grow, I progressed through the ranks to become an Electrical Project Manager, successfully delivering projects across multiple sectors including education, commercial offices, and public services.

Today, I’m proud to work for Northwick Group as a Contracts Manager, overseeing the delivery of high-quality projects within the MOD sector. My experience combines deep technical knowledge with strong leadership and project management skills, ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
